The BCPPER project has been selected as one of four pilot economic development programs under the Centre's City Economic Region (CER) scheme, with an initial estimate of ₹5,000 crore. The project aims to integrate Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, and Paradip into a cohesive economic region to boost investment, tourism, logistics, and employment.

Odisha is set to benefit from 58 port-linked infrastructure projects valued at over Rs 56,350 crore under the Sagarmala program. These projects include major rail, road, and logistics initiatives centered around key ports. Several projects are completed, while ongoing ones like a smart industrial port city in Paradip and deepening of its inner harbor are underway.

BDA and BMC have launched a pilot project to install modern traffic and parking-cum-commuter sheds at key locations. These shelters feature flame vine creepers on fabric canopies, creating a natural green cover that will reduce heat absorption and lower ambient temperatures.

The Odisha State Housing Board (OSHB) is planning four new housing projects across the state, collectively offering 6,877 dwelling units, including affordable housing. Projects in Bhubaneswar, such as the Gadakana Housing Project and the Suango PPP housing project, will contribute significantly to this initiative.

Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) has signed an MoU with the Odisha Government to provide term loans up to ₹1 lakh crore over five years for urban infrastructure and housing projects. This collaboration aims to accelerate housing and infrastructure growth across Odisha, including the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Puri-Paradeep Economic Region.

The Odisha Cabinet has approved the 'Gyanodaya–Shiksharu Samruddhi' scheme, which will provide free education from Kindergarten (KG) to Postgraduate (PG) levels in government and government-aided institutions across the state. This initiative aims to make quality education accessible and affordable.

The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will install sensors in major drains across the city to monitor silt accumulation and blockages, improving the effectiveness of desilting operations and overall drainage management. This initiative aims to reduce waterlogging and improve civic services during the monsoon season.

The Odisha government has approved 20 mega investment proposals totaling Rs 76,612 crore, expected to create over 50,000 jobs across various sectors including green energy, steel, pharmaceuticals, and lab-grown diamonds. These approvals aim to boost industrial diversification and economic growth in the state.

Odisha Cabinet has approved several significant schemes, including a Rs 500 crore Waterfront Development Scheme aimed at rejuvenating urban riverfronts and water bodies over five years. . Additionally, the cabinet sanctioned a Rs 210 crore project for a working women's hostel in Khordha to provide safe accommodation for female industrial workers.
