CM performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Satgarhi Smart Industrial Park and Convention Centre in the Kolar region. The township will be developed over approximately 70 hectares and will include plug-and-play facilities. A key feature is a proposed 25-acre modern convention and exhibition center with a seating capacity of 10,000.

Following the safe disposal of toxic waste at the former Union Carbide factory site, the land will be redeveloped into a memorial and a new hospital. This project aims to serve as a tribute to those affected by the Bhopal Gas Tragedy and will transform a site of historical tragedy into a space for remembrance and public health.

Bhopal Metro services have resumed on June 26th following a comprehensive safety audit by the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS). The audit, which included rigorous testing of the signaling system and bringing two trains face-to-face on the same track, focused on the Subhash Nagar and AIIMS corridor.

Bhopal Metro is set to significantly enhance its operations with the upcoming launch of a new signalling system on the priority corridor between Subhash Nagar and AIIMS in July. This upgrade will enable two-way operations on both tracks, reducing waiting times from 75 minutes to 25 minutes and tripling service frequency.

Housing units constructed by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) are reportedly showing signs of poor construction quality, with cracks, dampness, and peeling plaster appearing within a year of allotment. Residents have also reported that some basic facilities remain incomplete.

The Bhopal registration department has proposed a 12% increase in collector guideline rates across over 740 colonies for the fiscal year 2026-27. This hike will lead to higher registration costs for homebuyers, impacting the real estate market. The increase is expected to significantly push up property registration expenses.

The Bhopal Metro Project is progressing with the commencement of underground tunnel construction, marking a significant milestone. The use of an advanced Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) is expected to expedite the process and ensure precision in densely populated urban areas. This development is key to establishing a modern and sustainable public transportation system.

Central Government has approved a ₹4,329 crore project to lay a fourth railway line on the Itarsi-Bhopal-Bina section, a busy route in the Bhopal Rail Division, spanning 237 km and benefiting approximately 40 villages .The project, under the PM Gati Shakti Yojana, is targeted for completion by 2028.
