The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) requires approximately Rs 700 crore for the development of colony roads and roads in newly emerging areas. A detailed blueprint is being prepared for submission to the state government. This initiative aims to address the deteriorating condition of many colony roads and improve connectivity in developing zones, ensuring better urban infrastructure for residents.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed confidence in Nashik's development potential, driven by infrastructure investments for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela. A Rs 33,000 crore investment is planned for infrastructure, including improved connectivity, dry ports, and ring roads, aiming to create a Rs 3 lakh crore economy in Nashik over the next decade.

The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has established joint committees comprising officials from the Smart City Corporation and the civic body to accelerate the completion of pending Smart City projects valued at over ₹700 crore. This initiative is in response to the central government's decision not to extend the Smart City Mission beyond December 2025.

In Trimbakeshwar, the Municipal Council has launched an encroachment removal drive to ensure clear pathways for pilgrims during the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh, which is expected to ease movement and improve pedestrian access. This initiative also supports the development of a proposed Darshan Path.

SRM Contractors has been awarded a ₹483 crore contract by the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation for the construction of a 14.020 km stretch of the Nashik Ring Road. The project is expected to be completed within 12 months and will improve regional connectivity and help decongest traffic in and around Nashik.

Nashik is preparing for the Kumbh Mela 2027 with a significant infrastructure push, including the Ozar Airport expansion and other development projects. Infrastructure works worth ₹30,000 crore are underway in Nashik district, focusing on roads, civic facilities, river rejuvenation of the Godavari. Nashik has also, secured fresh investment proposals worth ₹13,000 crore at Davos WEF.

A container truck accident near Jupiter Hospital on the Eastern Express Highway disrupted traffic for two hours, injuring the driver. The incident occurred on the Mumbai to Nashik lane around 7 am, affecting movement towards Ghodbunder and Nashik. Rabodi police and Thane traffic police officers, along with Hydra cranes, rescued the driver and traffic movement was restored after 2 hours.
