The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) requires approximately Rs 700 crore for the development of colony roads and roads in newly emerging areas. NHAI has awarded the Nashik Phata–Khed corridor project, to be executed in two phases at a total cost of ₹7,800 crore, to improve travel times and safety. Phase I, from Nashik Phata to Alandi Phata, is estimated at ₹4,403 crore, while Phase II, the Alandi Phata–Khed stretch, will be built at ₹3,398 crore.Railway Board has approved two new railway lines between Manmad and Kasara for a direct Nashik to Mumbai local train service.
