Lucknow Metro Expansion Approved, Aims for 2047 Integration
The Central Government has approved a long-term metro expansion plan for Lucknow, Kanpur, and Agra, extending until 2047, aligning with the 'Viksit Bharat 2047' vision to develop an integrated urban transport network. Additionally, the central government approved the Lucnow Metro Rail Project's East-West Corridor, an 11.16 km route with 12 stations, estimated at ₹58.01 billion.This east-west route is expected to be completed in next five years.
