The Varanasi Development Authority has greenlit a budget of ₹2,866.20 crore for the 2026-27 fiscal year, aiming to foster systematic urban expansion. This plan prioritizes land acquisition and new township initiatives, with a significant focus on modernized residential layouts and institutional infrastructure. The budget also includes provisions for land compensation for schemes like Madhni, Ganjari, and Kallipur.
