The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has presented a surplus budget of ₹8,455 crore for the fiscal year 2026-27, prioritizing infrastructure upgrades and water security. Key allocations include the expansion of the Narmada water project (Phase IV) for 24/7 water supply to outskirts and the completion of master plan roads.

Property rates in Indore are expected to become more expensive as the district evaluation committee has finalized new collector guideline rates for the upcoming fiscal year. Hikes have been approved across 2,606 locations, with proposed increases ranging from 10% to 300% in some areas.

In Indore , a Rs 2,300 crore provision is allocated for a flagship plug-and-play IT park, and a Google Cloud Startup Hub is planned to foster AI-driven growth. The Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor project also receives a substantial allocation of Rs 2,360 crore, expected to accelerate industrial development and job creation.

A 65-meter-long, 400-tonne steel bowstring girder has been successfully placed atop the Luvkush Square double-decker flyover at a height of 23 meters. This girder is part of a new flyover that will pass over the existing Metro line and MR-10 Super Corridor flyover. This development is expected to ease traffic congestion in the area once completed.
