A Rs 356 crore coastal highway project has been launched with a groundbreaking ceremony in Surat's Olpad taluka. This project aims to improve connectivity across South Gujarat by significantly shortening the travel distance between Hazira in Surat and Kantyajal in Bharuch from approximately 55 km to 18-20 km. The four-lane highway will pass through several coastal villages.
