The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has launched the Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor, a significant infrastructure project valued at ₹2,360 crore. This corridor aims to enhance logistics and connectivity between (Super corridor) Indore and Pithampur, fostering industrial growth and creating an estimated 6 lakh employment opportunities.

The final National Lok Adalat of 2025 significantly aided the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) by collecting over Rs 101 crore in a single day. This revenue recovery drive, which saw defaulters paying pending property tax, water tax, and garbage collection charges, will strengthen the IMC's financial position and enable better allocation for civic services.

A proposal to alter the Indore Metro rail line to run underground from Khajrana Square via Palasia Square to the Bada Ganpati area has been approved, following protests from residents and businesses concerned about disruptions in densely populated areas. The underground alignment is expected to increase project costs but aims to resolve issues caused by previous planning .

Indore is observing 'No Car Day' on September 22 for the third consecutive year to reduce vehicular pollution and traffic. A car-free zone will be established from Geeta Bhawan to Palasia, and a cyclothon is planned from Palasia to Rajwada and back. Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava is encouraging citizens to use eco-friendly transport options like bicycles and public transport.

The Indore Metro Rail Project is progressing, with the Yellow Line spanning 33.53 km and connecting key areas such as Palasia, Rajwada, and the airport. Full operations are expected to begin in early 2025 . Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved $190 million in funding for an 8.62-kilometer underground metro line with seven stations, connecting congested urban areas to the airport.
