The final National Lok Adalat of 2025 significantly aided the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) by collecting over Rs 101 crore in a single day. This revenue recovery drive, which saw defaulters paying pending property tax, water tax, and garbage collection charges, will strengthen the IMC's financial position and enable better allocation for civic services.

A proposal to alter the Indore Metro rail line to run underground from Khajrana Square via Palasia Square to the Bada Ganpati area has been approved, following protests from residents and businesses concerned about disruptions in densely populated areas. The underground alignment is expected to increase project costs but aims to resolve issues caused by previous planning .
