The foundation stone for the Nidamarru Railway Over Bridge (ROB) was laid, a ₹142-crore project expected to significantly improve connectivity between Mangalagiri, Amaravati, Tadikonda, and surrounding villages. This ROB will replace a level crossing that causes long delays due to frequent train movement, aiming to reduce crossing time from 10-15 minutes to about one minute.

The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has reported tax collections of approximately INR 267 crore for the financial year 2025-26, surpassing its target of INR 265 crore.The improved tax collection is expected to support the VMC's expenditure on essential services like water supply, sanitation, and urban infrastructure, potentially leading to better civic amenities.

Several new residential projects have been launched in Vijayawada, including Shanmukha Diamond Valley in Sri Ramachandra Nagar and Sri Bhramara Apex Heights in Gudavalli , plus two new launches in Tadigadapa and in Tadepalli.
