Several new residential projects are being launched or are under construction in and around Vijayawada, including in Gunadala, Tadigadapa, Poranki, Guntur and Nunna. Projects like SLV Amaravati Grand, Undavalli Srivalii Pravas , and Anjani Sunrise vistas are offering various configurations of apartments and plots.

The Andhra Pradesh government is planning to construct a new 1.1-km-long signature bridge over the Krishna River, connecting Sithanagaram Ghat in Vijayawada with the existing Kanakadurga flyover.
