A crucial stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway between Godhra and Vadodara in Gujarat has been opened for trial use. This development is expected to significantly improve connectivity across Gujarat and beyond, and will eventually reduce travel time between Delhi and Mumbai to 12 hours upon full operationalization.

Vadodara is set to experience a significant boost in its infrastructure and tourism with several key projects underway. Sursagar Lake will be upgraded with a ₹40 crore investment, featuring an international fountain, 3D digital mapping, laser and light shows,Concurrently, a Heritage Square is being developed near Nyay Mandir as part of a larger ₹203 crore urban development plan.

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) canceled the BITA Garba event at Akota Stadium after a BITA representative allegedly slapped a municipal employee during stadium allocation. VMC Commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu immediately canceled the stadium allotment, sparking outrage among civic staff.
