Indora-Dighori Flyover Nears Completion, Traffic Relief Expected by August 1

The project, developed by NHAI, will connect key areas like Kamal Chowk, Reshimbagh, and Dighori Naka, reducing travel times and improving traffic flow. Final works, including girder installation and safety measures, are underway.

Nagpur Metro Expansion to 129 km Positions City Among Top Tier-2 Connected Cities

Phase 3 of the Nagpur Metro project proposes a 54.5 km expansion, which will bring the total network to nearly 129 km. This significant growth will place Nagpur among the most extensively connected Tier-2 cities in India. The expansion includes new corridors and Nagpur's first underground metro stretch.

The Union Ministry has sanctioned ₹150 crore for the concretization of the 6 km Central Avenue stretch from Nagpur Railway Station to Vaishno Devi Square, including stormwater drains and pedestrian walkways. The NMC has approved a ₹14.46 crore plan to resurface 260 roads across 10 zones, prioritizing 135 roads based on deterioration. A new flyover named after Dr. Shrikant Jichkar has been inaugurated on Amravati Road to reduce traffic congesytion. The Indora-Dighori flyover construction too is reaching operational status, soon.
