Dighori, Nagpur

The Indora-Dighori flyover project in Nagpur is in its final stages and is scheduled to be opened to traffic on August 1, 2026. This flyover is part of the city's ongoing infrastructure development aimed at improving traffic flow and reducing congestion on key arterial roads.

Phase 3 of the Nagpur Metro project proposes a 54.5 km expansion, which will bring the total network to nearly 129 km. This significant growth will place Nagpur among the most extensively connected Tier-2 cities in India. The expansion includes new corridors and Nagpur's first underground metro stretch.

The Union Ministry has sanctioned ₹150 crore for the concretization of the 6 km Central Avenue stretch from Nagpur Railway Station to Vaishno Devi Square, including stormwater drains and pedestrian walkways. The NMC has approved a ₹14.46 crore plan to resurface 260 roads across 10 zones, prioritizing 135 roads based on deterioration. A new flyover named after Dr. Shrikant Jichkar has been inaugurated on Amravati Road to reduce traffic congesytion. The Indora-Dighori flyover construction too is reaching operational status, soon.
