Nagpur Metro's Phase 3 is expanding to include extensions to the upcoming New Nagpur township and further into the Butibori industrial belt. This plan, part of the Comprehensive Mobility Plan, aims to improve connectivity and support economic growth. The expansion includes a 5-km stretch beyond Butibori MIDC to serve industrial and residential areas, and a connection to New Nagpur, a planned greenfield city project.

Kamptee Railway Station is undergoing a significant upgrade as part of the Amrit Bharat Scheme and the Kalamna-Godhani chord line project. These projects aim to streamline rail traffic by adding a third line, enabling direct train movement to the chord line without crossing main routes. This will improve traffic flow and reduce the time taken for long-distance trains to reverse at Nagpur Station.

The Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) has initiated land acquisition for the International Business and Finance Centre (IBFC) under the New Nagpur project. The Maharashtra government has allocated ₹3,000 crore for land acquisition, but landowners in Ladgaon and Godhani (Rithi) have raised concerns regarding compensation for the transferred land.
