The Maharashtra Government has sanctioned ₹315 crore for various development projects in Nagpur, including footpaths, gardens, streetlights, and sewage lines. This funding, released to the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), aims to expedite long-pending infrastructure works and upgrade the city's civic amenities.

The Maharashtra government has approved the development of a new Outer Ring Road around Nagpur, a project estimated to cost ₹7,474 crore. This initiative is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity across the Nagpur metropolitan region.

Besa and the MIHAN Zone are identified as the fastest developing areas in Nagpur for 2026, driven by infrastructure development, new residential projects, and property price appreciation.. These peripheral growth corridors such as Besa-Pipla, Mihan, Hingna ,koradi ,wadi ,kamptee are set to see faster appreciation than the core regions of city.

Phase 3 of the Nagpur Metro project proposes a 54.5 km expansion, which will bring the total network to nearly 129 km. This significant growth will place Nagpur among the most extensively connected Tier-2 cities in India. The expansion includes new corridors and Nagpur's first underground metro stretch.

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has collected only Rs 2,680.27 crore in the first 10 months of the financial year, achieving barely 48% of its Rs 5,565 crore budget target. Internal revenue heads like property tax and water charges have fallen short of targets. This financial shortfall raises concerns about the corporation's ability to fund upcoming infrastructure demands and civic works.

The Kamptee-Koradi-Kanhan region is set for significant development with various infrastructure projects. These include a ten-storey commercial mall, a flyover from Naka Koradi to Bokhara railway crossing, Metro track beautification, and a proposed ropeway from Koradi Mahadev Temple. Reports are also being prepared for the Uppalwadi underpass and Outer Ring Road projects.
