Kamptee Railway Station is undergoing a significant upgrade as part of the Amrit Bharat Scheme and the Kalamna-Godhani chord line project. These projects aim to streamline rail traffic by adding a third line, enabling direct train movement to the chord line without crossing main routes. This will improve traffic flow and reduce the time taken for long-distance trains to reverse at Nagpur Station.

The Kamptee-Koradi-Kanhan region is set for significant development with various infrastructure projects. These include a ten-storey commercial mall, a flyover from Naka Koradi to Bokhara railway crossing, Metro track beautification, and a proposed ropeway from Koradi Mahadev Temple. Reports are also being prepared for the Uppalwadi underpass and Outer Ring Road projects.
