The Maharashtra government has approved the development of a new Outer Ring Road around Nagpur, a project estimated to cost ₹7,474 crore. This initiative is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and improve connectivity across the Nagpur metropolitan region.

Cold commissioning has commenced at Nagpur's Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Bhandewadi. The plant, designed to process 1,500 MTPD of unsegregated waste, is positioned to be one of the largest dry fermentation plant globally. Once operational, it will convert organic waste into Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF), with less than 10% inert waste to be sent to a landfill. Hot commissioning will follow in three phases and materialise in March 2026.
