Nagpur Grapples with Traffic Amidst Rising Vehicle Registrations and EV Growth

This increase, which has seen registrations rise by nearly 86% in six years, is straining road infrastructure and parking facilities. Concurrently, electric vehicle (EV) registrations in Nagpur district have surpassed 1.41 lakh.

Outer Ring Road Project Progresses as Key Infrastructure Backbone

The 119 km six-lane Outer Ring Road around Nagpur is progressing with Phase-1 targeting completion in 2027 and Phase-2 in 2029. This project, costing Rs 7,300 crore, aims to decongest Wardha Road and improve access to areas like Besa and Hingna. The ring road is a significant catalyst for plotted real estate development.
