Nagpur's Rs 998-crore Indora-Dighori Flyover is set to open by August 1, promising significant relief from congestion in East Nagpur. The project, developed by NHAI, will connect key areas like Kamal Chowk, Reshimbagh, and Dighori Naka, reducing travel times and improving traffic flow. Final works, including girder installation and safety measures, are underway.

Nagpur is facing a severe parking crisis, with vehicles occupying a significant portion of road width, leading to traffic congestion and pedestrian issues. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari have called for immediate corrective measures and long-term planning, emphasizing the need to integrate adequate parking facilities.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved a €240 million loan to extend the Nagpur metro network, part of a larger €289.5 million financing for sustainable metro growth in India. This investment is expected to reduce transport-related carbon emissions by approximately 22% in Nagpur and increase daily ridership to around 190,000 passengers by 2041.

The Pardi underpass, part of a ₹665-crore project, has become a daily death trap for commuters due to design flaws. A concrete slab hangs in the middle, leaving just 3.5 meters clearance, which is insufficient for most heavy vehicles.
