Nagpur is facing a severe parking crisis, with vehicles occupying a significant portion of road width, leading to traffic congestion and pedestrian issues. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari have called for immediate corrective measures and long-term planning, emphasizing the need to integrate adequate parking facilities.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved a €240 million loan to extend the Nagpur metro network, part of a larger €289.5 million financing for sustainable metro growth in India. This investment is expected to reduce transport-related carbon emissions by approximately 22% in Nagpur and increase daily ridership to around 190,000 passengers by 2041.

The Pardi underpass, part of a ₹665-crore project, has become a daily death trap for commuters due to design flaws. A concrete slab hangs in the middle, leaving just 3.5 meters clearance, which is insufficient for most heavy vehicles.
