Housing units constructed by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) are reportedly showing signs of poor construction quality, with cracks, dampness, and peeling plaster appearing within a year of allotment. Residents have also reported that some basic facilities remain incomplete.

The Bhopal Metro Project is progressing with the commencement of underground tunnel construction, marking a significant milestone. The use of an advanced Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) is expected to expedite the process and ensure precision in densely populated urban areas.
