MMRDA Proposes Metro Line 12A to Enhance Connectivity

MMRDA has proposed an 18.4 km elevated corridor, Metro-12A, to run from Manpada in Kalyan to Khutari village in Taloja. This project aims to significantly improve connectivity between Kalyan-Dombivli and the trans-harbour areas of Navi Mumbai. The corridor is expected to have 10-12 stations and may intersect with Metro Lines 14 and 5.

Ambernath to Benefit from Metro Connectivity Enhancements

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced that Ambernath will soon have two metro lines, significantly improving connectivity and fostering growth in the city. Upcoming projects also include the development of Chikhloli station and slum rehabilitation. The Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan Metro Line 5 project will be extended from Durgadi Naka, via Kalyan, along the Kalyan-Badlapur Road to reach Chikhloli Railway Station in Ambernath.

Cabinet Approves Rs 2,781 Crore Railway Projects for Maharashtra

The Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the 32 km Badlapur–Karjat third and fourth line project. This project aims to increase line capacity, boost mobility, improve service reliability, and ease congestion on busy suburban and freight corridors, particularly for passenger demand and links to southern India.The new section will connect directly to Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation's Kalyan-Badlapur third and fourth lines project.

Shahad Rail Flyover Closure for Repairs to Cause Traffic Congestion

The Shahad Rail flyover on National Highway 61 will be closed for approximately 20 days from Monday midnight for repairs. This closure will divert traffic to alternative routes, causing expected heavy congestion on internal roads of Kalyan and Ulhasnagar. Emergency services will be exempt.

I had been living here with my family in my own house for 10 years. According to me, this place is a nice residential area with all the basic facilities. This area has good road connectivity with all modes of public transport. This place has all the basic amenities like schools, colleges, hospitals and local markets nearby the location.

This locality has good transport facilities with all modes of public transport. The roads are well maintained and have proper street lights. The parks for jogging and running and the playgrounds for kids are available here. The water supply and electric supply are quite good here in this place. The markets are so close to the locality where every requirement is found easily.

This place is a good locality with affordable residential developments with proper civic amenities. This place has excellent connectivity to employment hubs in Mumbai. This place is near many industrial areas in Dombivli, Thane, Bhiwandi, Ambernath, Badlapur, and Ulhas Nagar. All the basic facilities like schools, banks, ATMs, clinics, shops, groceries, and petrol pumps are nearby the location. The auto and cab facility is good enough here and the roads are well maintained here.

The roads are well maintained with proper street lights and have enough pavement area. The cleanliness and hygiene of the place are well maintained. This place is overly populated and for this reason, continuous traffic jams and noise pollution are the main issues in this area.
