Housing units constructed by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) are reportedly showing signs of poor construction quality, with cracks, dampness, and peeling plaster appearing within a year of allotment. Residents have also reported that some basic facilities remain incomplete.

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, in a meeting held in Bhopal, approved a mega development package worth approximately ₹19,810 crore. This package includes substantial investments in public works, irrigation, medical colleges, rural schemes, and women empowerment initiatives. A significant portion, ₹10,801 crore, is allocated to the Public Works Department for infrastructure development,

The Bhopal Metro Project is progressing with the commencement of underground tunnel construction, marking a significant milestone.
