Malakpet is a residential locality in the south zone of Hyderabad. It is located on the city's outskirts. As for the layout, the area has two distinct sections: New Malakpet and Old Malakpet.

Malakpet's road network has a radial pattern, with arterials converging at its Central Business District. All significant parts of Hyderabad are connected to the region via well-paved roads.

HITEC City is about 19 km from Malakpet and is accessible via NH65. This area is home to some of the major IT parks in the country, such as Cyber Pearl, L&T Infocity, RMZ Futura IT Park, Raheja Mindspace IT Park, etc. There is also a good connection between Malakpet and Gachibowli via the road linking Vinoba Nagar and Kakatiya Nagar. The distance between the two localities is approximately 21 km.

Shifted some time back since I had to move to another city but some of my best memories are with my family at Malakpet, Hyderabad. Our apartment was very near the metro station which made life easier. Malakpet is a peaceful area with all basic amenities and a serene view of the horse race course from my apartment. Malakpet locality is the best one in which I ever stayed. There is police patrol almost every hour since it is a VIP zone too as are few MLA, and MP families staying in the area. High security and risk-free. Everything is available at the cheapest price especially groceries, vegetables, fruits, etc.

See I wanted comparatively pocket-friendly accommodation near a metro station. I am quite happy living here at Malakpet. Which locality does not have problems? But this area has its metro station which helps me get to my office quickly time. Also, lots of commercial places here so plenty of buzzes and a happening feel which I like. It is a very neat and clean calm peaceful place with all amenities including regular police patrol being VIP Officers area. Good for all ages, centrally located, dust & sound pollution free, less traffic, and full of greenery. Malakpet is a historically known locality with heritage monuments/buildings like Mehboob Mansion now the food grains market; railway station, and famous Nalgonda Chowrasta. The old famous Race-Course is about 1 km. Royal Phaeton Mosque, Bethlehem Church & Government Hospital, and Temples in this area.

I find this locality to be quite bustling, having lived here for some time now. It is certainly well-connected. It is a Nice locality, within walkable distance to everything you need, aka a shopping complex, public transport, and easy access to the main road. I can easily commute to my workplace as well. The locality is situated in the heart of the city near to Metro station and all facilities are at a walkable distance. It is a calm, quiet and peaceful locality, having good facilities like schools, colleges, ATMs, banks, etc. it is a good residential area.

Malakpet, Salem-Nagar Colony II is an excellent place to live as this is a nice residential area. All facilities are very close and you get quality products. Schools, parks, hospitals, and provision stores are at arms learned and a safe place to live in. It is a very good and safe locality for families and single women and very peaceful and pollution-free absolutely. There is not much vehicular traffic and lots of greenery gives a pleasant feeling. But water logging during monsoon is problematic.

Locality at Market has always been a prime option and I am thankful that parents could invest here early in their professional lives. I have always lived here. Let me tell you that location is incomparable. Malakpet is a very well-located place in Hyderabad. This locality is close to Malakpet Railway Station, Defense Labs, Schools, Hospitals, Vegetable, and Fruit Market. It is 25 Km from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport. The new Metro line is under erection is hardly 0.5 Km. Malakpet is a good locality in vicinity of Government Press, Yashoda Hospital, Srikrupa Supermarket, Chermas, Chervolet, Maruti Showrooms, Sony Showroom, Reliance Digital and Race Course etc in Hyderabad. Traffic during peak hours is a big issue.
