As part of an environmental initiative, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has installed water bowls across its campus to help birds cope with the intense heat, promoting conservation and compassion towards wildlife.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth over Rs 3,880 crore in Varanasi. These projects encompass significant road infrastructure improvements, including flyovers and underpasses, along with water schemes, power substations, and community facilities, aiming to boost connectivity, public amenities, and economic growth in the region.
