A new railway bridge is under construction near Namo Ghat over the Ganga River in Varanasi, running parallel to the old Malviya Bridge. This new bridge will feature four railway lines on the lower deck and a six-lane highway above, significantly transforming Uttar Pradesh's railway map and enabling the operation of more trains.

The Varanasi Municipal Corporation is set to begin construction of a new headquarters with an investment of Rs 93 crore.
