LDA has approved a comprehensive package of 120 projects totaling Rs 266 crore to enhance urban infrastructure, public amenities, tourism, and emergency response. Key initiatives include a Rs 25 crore water laser light and sound show at the Gomti riverfront, Rs 68 crore for advanced firefighting platforms, amongst many other smaleer projects.

Construction for the second phase of the Lucknow Metro, an East-West Corridor from Charbagh to Vasant Kunj, is set to begin soon. The project, estimated at ₹5,800 crore, will feature 12 new stations, seven underground and five elevated. This expansion is expected to significantly enhance connectivity across the city.

The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has approved 15 major development proposals, collectively valued at approximately ₹2,500 crore. Among these is a new integrated township in Amausi, near the airport corridor, aimed at planned urban expansion. These approvals, covering residential, commercial, and institutional projects, are expected to boost housing supply

The 63-km Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway is nearing completion and is expected to be operational by February 2026. This project, built at a cost of Rs 4,700 crore, will reduce travel time between Lucknow's Amausi area and Kanpur to just 40 minutes. The expressway is anticipated to strengthen daily commuting and industrial movement between the two cities.

The inauguration of Lucknow's Green Corridor has been postponed to mid-March, pending the availability of dignitaries. The project aims to reduce travel time between Gomti Nagar, Hanuman Setu, and Nishatganj. The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned approximately ₹1,000 crore to accelerate work on phases 3 and 4 of the Lucknow Green Corridor, which aims to improve connectivity and reduce traffic congestion. Phases 2 through 4 are targeted for completion by mid-2026.

Heritage sites in Lucknow, including the Asafi Imambara and Rumi Darwaza, are suffering from neglect, with issues like accumulated garbage, open drains, encroachments, and illegal parking. Activists have filed a public interest litigation, urging better management and coordination between civic agencies and tourism authorities. These issues negatively impact the visitor experience and the city's image.

A new link under Lucknow's Green Corridor Project (Phase 2 of IIM Road to Kisan Path) is set to open by December 15, aiming to halve travel time on the Samatamulak Crossing–Nishatganj route and ease peak-hour traffic. The Rs 130-crore project includes bridges and road widening, which will significantly improve north–south traffic connectivity in the city.
