NMC is set to open financial bids for 534.89km of sewerage network works as part of the Rs 1,926.99-crore Nag River Pollution Abatement Project. This crucial upgrade involves constructing and replacing nearly 535km of sewer pipelines, costing over Rs 542 crore, and is expected to significantly reduce pollution in the Nag River system.

The first phase of the six-lane twin cable-stayed bridge at Ajni, also known as 'Laxman Jhula', is expected to miss its pre-monsoon completion deadline due to substantial pending work. The Rs332 crore project aims to replace a 125-year-old bridge and improve connectivity between South and Central Nagpur.

The Bajaj Nagar Square traffic island in Nagpur has been dug up repeatedly due to issues with underground sewage infrastructure. This recurring problem has caused significant frustration among commuters and residents, highlighting potential flaws in the initial planning and execution of the traffic island project.

Central Nagpur residents are seeking the mayor's intervention against the Nagpur Municipal Corporation's (NMC) proposed 18-storey commercial complex within Gandhibagh Garden, the last major open space in the congested locality. Residents fear the project could affect nearly 27 trees and lead to severe traffic congestion on the arterial road.
