The state government has approved the Badalpur-Kareli Barrage Cum Bridge project on the Mahi River, estimated at ₹1,700 crore. This project will store 183 million cubic meters of freshwater, address salinity issues, and provide clean drinking water to 409 villages, including those in the Vadodara district, benefiting over 1.5 million people.

Arvind SmartSpaces has launched a joint development project on Ajwa Road in Vadodara, marking its entry into the city's residential market with a projected top-line potential exceeding ₹700 crore, and plans further expansion in Gujarat.

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has planned 11 new infrastructure projects, including bridges and flyovers, with an estimated cost of ₹643 crore.Key projects include flyovers at Makarpura-Sushain Junction, Tarsali junction, and Vrundavan junction, as well as widening of Vishwamitri River bridges.

The Vadodara Urban Development Authority (VUDA) has approved revised budgets for 2025-26 and 2026-27, allocating significant funds for infrastructure works. This includes the completion of the 75-metre ring road, road and drainage networks, gardens, ponds, and housing projects. An additional ₹50 crore is sanctioned for the ring road project, in the city's peripheral areas.

The Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has presented its budget of ₹7,609 crore for 2026-27, which includes a plan for a new headquarters and ambitious projects for sports, wellness, and recreation. The budget focuses on boosting citizen engagement alongside core infrastructure like water, drainage, and cleanliness, without proposing tax hikes.

Gujarat Deputy CM Sanghavi inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple development projects worth ₹203 crore in Vadodara. The projects focus on water supply, roads, urban infrastructure, and cultural facilities, including enhancements to Sursagar Lake and the development of a Heritage Square.

Vadodara is set to experience a significant boost in its infrastructure and tourism with several key projects underway. Sursagar Lake will be upgraded with a ₹40 crore investment, featuring an international fountain, 3D digital mapping, laser and light shows,Concurrently, a Heritage Square is being developed near Nyay Mandir as part of a larger ₹203 crore urban development plan.

CM Bhupendra Patel has approved ₹316.78 crore for the first phase of the Vadodara Ring Road, which will be 27.58 kilometers long and 45 meters wide, easing traffic to the Statue of Unity and Mumbai-Ahmedabad NH 8. Municipal plans to construct a new bridge over the Sama–Savli canal to reduce traffic on Sama–Savli Road, where another overbridge is already under construction.
