Mahi Barrage Project Approved for ₹1,700 Crore, Benefiting Vadodara and Surrounding Districts

The state government has approved the Badalpur-Kareli Barrage Cum Bridge project on the Mahi River, estimated at ₹1,700 crore. This project will store 183 million cubic meters of freshwater, address salinity issues, and provide clean drinking water to 409 villages, including those in the Vadodara district, benefiting over 1.5 million people.

Vadodara Urban Development Authority Approves ₹801 Crore Budget

Vadodara Enhances Infrastructure : Ring Road, Bridges

CM Bhupendra Patel has approved ₹316.78 crore for the first phase of the Vadodara Ring Road, which will be 27.58 kilometers long and 45 meters wide, easing traffic to the Statue of Unity and Mumbai-Ahmedabad NH 8. Municipal plans to construct a new bridge over the Sama–Savli canal to reduce traffic on Sama–Savli Road, where another overbridge is already under construction.
