Maharashtra is leading India in railway infrastructure development with 35 mega projects worth ₹3.5 lakh crore. These include projects in the Vidarbha region such as the Nagpur–Nagbhid gauge conversion, the fourth line between Wardha and Nagpur, and the third line between Wardha and Ballarshah. These projects are expected to improve freight movement, passenger connectivity, and economic activity across the region.

The long-pending Radisson–Manish Nagar flyover has received final approval from the Public Works Department (PWD) after design modifications to improve design efficiency and safety. The project, with a total cost reaching ₹124 crore, aims to alleviate traffic congestion near Wardha Road and improve connectivity between South Nagpur and nearby localities like Beltarodi, Besa, and Mhalgi Nagar.
