Simultaneous road concretisation projects and infrastructure works on Wardha Road, along with traffic diversions, are causing significant traffic snarls at Rahate Colony Square and nearby areas. Partial closures and narrowed lanes are leading to sluggish traffic flow, with commuters anticipating worsening conditions during the monsoon.

The first phase of the six-lane twin cable-stayed bridge at Ajni, also known as 'Laxman Jhula', is expected to miss its pre-monsoon completion deadline due to substantial pending work. The Rs332 crore project aims to replace a 125-year-old bridge and improve connectivity between South and Central Nagpur.

Nagpur is set to benefit from a new East-West Dedicated Freight Corridor connecting Dankuni in West Bengal and Surat in Gujarat, as announced in the Union Budget. This corridor passing though Ajni & Nagpur junction , is expected to significantly boost industries and traders by providing direct rail connectivity between eastern and western India, improving logistics and reducing transportation costs.

The redevelopment of Ajni Railway Station is progressing with advanced finishing works on the East Side station building and infrastructure enhancements on platforms. The Public Works Department (PWD) has commenced road-laying work at Police Line Takli, valued at Rs 20 lakh, to address the deteriorated condition of internal stretches, with comprehensive resurfacing expected within the month.
