The Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) has initiated the 'New Nagpur' project, a 1,710-acre development planned as a high-tech, globally competitive urban hub. The project aims to attract start-ups, MSMEs, and technology firms, featuring advanced infrastructure and underground civic utilities.

The House of Abhinandan Lodha's (HoABL) , 78-acre 'Nagpur Marina' waterfront plotted estate in Hingna Taluka has entered a critical construction phase. Land grading and internal road development are underway. The development is linked to the substantial infrastructure investments in the Vidarbha region, benefiting from its proximity to the Samruddhi Mahamarg and MIHAN SEZ.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has approved a €240 million loan to extend the Nagpur metro network, part of a larger €289.5 million financing for sustainable metro growth in India. This investment is expected to reduce transport-related carbon emissions by approximately 22% in Nagpur and increase daily ridership to around 190,000 passengers by 2041.

Solar Group has been allotted 223 acres in MIHAN SEZ for defense and aerospace projects, including unmanned aerial systems [i, 7, 11, 21, 27]. This is expected to generate thousands of jobs and involves a proposed investment of approximately Rs 12,780 crore.
