Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Surat on June 5, 2026, to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects valued at over ₹18,000 crore. The budget prioritizes capital expenditure and includes initiatives like property tax exemption for registered widow women and a free pass facility for senior citizens on bus services.
