Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Surat on June 5, 2026, to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for development projects valued at over ₹18,000 crore. The projects span various sectors, aiming to boost infrastructure and industrial growth in Surat and the wider South Gujarat region.

Surat's real estate market is experiencing steady growth in 2026, driven by expansion of infrastructure projects, and rising interest from NRIs and investors. Smart city initiatives and better urban planning are making Surat a preferred investment destination.

Several new residential projects in Surat have been launched and are RERA-registered, including Pentaggon in Palanpur , Gruham Heaven in PAL and Siddhi Vinayak Elements in Jahangirabad. These projects are in NorthWest Surat and are gaining prominence due to improved connectivity & infrastructure development Thru Metro bridge (Ongoing) and Pal-Umra bridge over River Taapi.

The Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has developed an indoor sports and recreation facility under the Shaheed Veer Bhagat Singh Bridge at Parle Point. The project transforms unused space beneath the flyover into a hub offering indoor games, a reading room, a cafeteria, and a children's play zone. . SMC is also developing a sports facility under the Uttran Rail Over Bridge and constructing vending markets in Limbayat and Dindoli.
