Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved the Patna Elevated Road Project, a 13.41 km six-lane elevated and at-grade corridor from Saristabad to Didarganj. This project aims to significantly ease traffic congestion within Patna and improve connectivity.
The elevated stretch of the Patna Metro from Bhoothnath to Malahi Pakri, a key part of Corridor II, has successfully passed a safety inspection by the Chief Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety. This 2.75 km section, including Khemnichak station, is set to open soon, completing the priority elevated corridor and boosting urban mobility.
The historic 'Mangal Talab' is undergoing a ₹24 crore renovation project, jointly managed by the tourism and urban development departments. The project is divided into two phases to transform the area into a dynamic public space that preserves heritage while adding modern amenities. first phase includes a grand entrance, parking, commercial shops, a central plaza for cultural gatherings, and a jogging track.
