VDA is accelerating infrastructure work for Anand Kashi Yojana, its first integrated township project in over three decades after Lalpur Yojana. The 250-acre Heritage township in Kallipur will feature wide roads, water and sewerage systems, electricity networks, green spaces.. Besides Anand Kashi, the VDA has also approved the 165-acre Residential Rudra Vihar Township at Madhni and the 160-acre Sports City at Ganjari.

PM Narendra Modi inaugurated 48 completed development projects worth over ₹1,050 crore in Varanasi. These projects span sectors including road infrastructure (widening of Varanasi–Azamgarh road), new rail over bridges, and a sewage treatment plant, aimed at improving sanitation and urban infrastructure.

The Varanasi Municipal Corporation has unanimously approved the 'Namo: Banaras Centre' project, a multi-story commercial complex to be built on warehouse land in the Cantonment area. The initiative aims to boost economic infrastructure and support traditional weavers and traders by constructing a ground plus six complex on 0.82 hectares at a cost of Rs 145.36 crore, featuring 844 shops.
