MahaRERA Issues New Guidelines Prohibiting Multiple Project Registrations on Same Land

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has introduced 'Sponge Gardens' around water bodies as a measure to control flooding in newly included areas such as Lohegaon, Keshavnagar, Sadesatranali, Uttamnagar, Shivne, Ambegaon Khurd, Undri, Dhayari, and Ambegaon Budruk. This initiative is part of the draft Development Plan, which aims to cater to the needs of an estimated population of 8.1 lakh by 2035.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has questioned the PMC regarding an alleged scam involving 3.4 lakh missing compensatory trees, with a hearing scheduled for September 16, 2025
Separately, a PMC Environmental Status Report indicates that Pune's zone 1 has the least green cover despite having the most parks, while zone 3 leads in open space.
