PMC has prioritized the construction of a nine-kilometer link road between Mumbai–Satara Highway (NH48) to the Pune–Solapur Highway in south Pune. This project is part of a larger scheme to develop 19 roads at a cost of Rs 9.82 billion. Efforts are also underway to complete the Katraj-Kondhwa road widening.

Maharashtra government has decided to discontinue the use of 7/12 land extracts and replace them with property cards in areas newly merged into municipal corporations and councils. This change, aimed at streamlining property ownership records and reducing fraud, will provide clearer details of land and flat ownership, thereby safeguarding the interests of property holders.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has introduced 'Sponge Gardens' around water bodies as a measure to control flooding in newly included areas such as Lohegaon, Keshavnagar, Sadesatranali, Uttamnagar, Shivne, Ambegaon Khurd, Undri, Dhayari, and Ambegaon Budruk. This initiative is part of the draft Development Plan, which aims to cater to the needs of an estimated population of 8.1 lakh by 2035.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has questioned the PMC regarding an alleged scam involving 3.4 lakh missing compensatory trees, with a hearing scheduled for September 16, 2025 Separately, a PMC Environmental Status Report indicates that Pune's zone 1 has the least green cover despite having the most parks, while zone 3 leads in open space.
