Nagpur is experiencing significant traffic congestion due to a surge in vehicle registrations, with about an average of 475 new vehicles registered daily. This increase, which has seen registrations rise by nearly 86% in six years, is straining road infrastructure and parking facilities. Concurrently, electric vehicle (EV) registrations in Nagpur district have surpassed 1.41 lakh.

Nagpur Metro Phase-2 Continues as Anchor Project for Infrastructure Development
Phase-2 of the Nagpur Metro, adding 43.8 km of new lines across four corridors, remains a key infrastructure project for the city. With a total cost of Rs 6,706 crore and a target completion of 2028, civil work has commenced on three of the four reaches. This expansion is expected to significantly improve connectivity and boost property values in areas around the new stations.
