Nagpur is experiencing significant traffic congestion due to a surge in vehicle registrations, with about an average of 475 new vehicles registered daily. This increase, which has seen registrations rise by nearly 86% in six years, is straining road infrastructure and parking facilities. Concurrently, electric vehicle (EV) registrations in Nagpur district have surpassed 1.41 lakh.

Nagpur Implements Strict Water Conservation Measures Amidst Severe Water Shortage Concerns

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has enforced stringent water conservation measures due to below-normal rainfall, which has left reservoirs at 58% capacity. To prevent water wastage, fines of up to ₹5,000 will be imposed for using drinking water for non-essential purposes like car washing, road cleaning, gardening, or construction.
