The Maharashtra Urban Development Department has upheld the Nagpur Municipal Corporation's (NMC) decision to demolish unauthorized commercial structures in Kachipura. . The decision is expected to facilitate the development of a BKC-style business district in Nagpur, featuring office towers, retail centers, and hospitality projects, thereby boosting commercial activity and urban development.

NMC is set to open financial bids for 534.89km of sewerage network works as part of the Rs 1,926.99-crore Nag River Pollution Abatement Project. This crucial upgrade involves constructing and replacing nearly 535km of sewer pipelines, costing over Rs 542 crore, and is expected to significantly reduce pollution in the Nag River system.
