The 49.5 km Kochi Outer Ring Road (ORR) connecting Angamaly and Aroor has accelerated with the Centre appointing an authority for land acquisition. The project, implemented by NHAI at a cost of ₹69.356 billion, will involve acquiring 363.73 hectares across 20 villages.

The Eloor municipality has formally requested the Public Works Department (PWD) to undertake immediate repairs on the damaged walkway of the Muttar Bridge. Deteriorating concrete slabs and caved-in sections pose a significant safety risk to pedestrians, especially during nighttime.

A new eight-storey super-specialty block with 842 beds and 16 operation theatres has been inaugurated at the Government Medical College Hospital, Kalamassery, Kochi. This upgrade to healthcare infrastructure, costing Rs 286.66 crore, aims to address the insufficiency of critical treatments and expand services, benefiting patients from Kochi and surrounding regions.
