AP Government has approved Phase 1 of the City Roads Improvement Program (CRIP) for Vijayawada, allocating Rs 171.14 crore for the upgrade of 23.54 kilometers of priority urban corridors ,addressing issues like road re-laying, weak junctions, and waterlogging. Additionally, land acquisition issues in the villages of the Andhra Pradesh capital region are nearing completion, with legal complications cleared for Lanka (Delta) lands.

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has approved a ₹7,380 crore loan from NABARD to accelerate core infrastructure development in Amaravati. This funding will support key institutional buildings, including the construction of Lok Bhavan (Governor's residence) for ₹169 crore and the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy for ₹165 crore.

The NTR district police have announced major traffic diversions in Vijayawada for the upcoming Dasara festivities, which will be held from September 22 to October 2. Specific routes will be altered for vehicles heading towards the high court and Amaravati. Heavy vehicles will face restrictions on Sept 29 from 2 am to Sept 30, 10 am, and will not be allowed towards Hyderabad. These vehicles will be diverted via Chilakaluripet, Narasaraopet, Miryalaguda, and Nalgonda.
