As part of the ambitious Google Cloud India AI Hub project in Visakhapatnam, the Andhra Pradesh government has directed the APIIC to oversee the development of essential external infrastructure, including roads, power, and water supply. This initiative is crucial for the seamless execution of the data center project, which is expected to attract significant investments and boost the region's digital infrastructure.

Visakhapatnam is set to become India's data center capital with an anticipated investment of Rs 6.32 lakh crore in data center projects. The Andhra Pradesh government plans to build a full-stack digital ecosystem, including local manufacturing of critical components. This initiative aims to shift focus from infrastructure to integrated tech manufacturing, potentially hosting more data centers than the entire country combined.

The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) has prepared a draft proposal to increase the number of wards from 64 to 86. This delimitation aims to ensure each ward has an electorate of approximately 8,000 to 10,000 citizens. The draft will be made public for suggestions before finalization, potentially leading to better representation and service delivery in local governance.

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has approved a ₹7,380 crore loan from NABARD to accelerate core infrastructure development in Amaravati. This funding will support key institutional buildings, including the construction of Lok Bhavan (Governor's residence) for ₹169 crore and the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy for ₹165 crore.
