Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has decided to demolish and reconstruct the 53-year-old Subhash Bridge from its foundations due to structural deterioration. This decision supersedes the earlier Rs 236 crore restoration plan.

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is developing sports activity centers under nine city bridges as part of a plan to transform Ahmedabad into an international-level Sports City. Two centers are already operational, and work has commenced on three more.

The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) is set to release its new draft development plan for 2041 and 2047 in June. This long-term plan aims to significantly upgrade city infrastructure, incorporate new areas, and potentially relocate industries to reduce air pollution, especially in preparation for the 2030 Commonwealth Games and a bid for the 2036 Olympics.

The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) is preparing to release a draft Development Plan for 2041, a 20-year urban planning framework designed to guide the city's long-term growth. This plan will expand AUDA's jurisdiction and align with Ahmedabad's aspirations to host the 2036 Olympics.

Gujarat has recorded a 30% year-on-year increase in revenue from stamp duty and registration fees, reaching Rs 19,102.58 crore in the financial year 2025-26. Surat has emerged as the second-highest city in terms of property registrations, with 2,89,544 registrations. This surge in revenue and registrations indicates a sustained demand in the real estate sector across the state.
