MC House has postponed the decision to invite tenders for the operation and management of 89 paid parking lots. While the MC proposed a 30-40% increase in parking rates, the Mayor indicated a preference for smart parking solutions without burdening residents. The House also rejected a significant increase in penalties for encroaching on green belts.

The Municipal Corporation , Chandigarh's Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC) has approved a record 67 development works totaling ₹14.71 crore. These projects encompass the renovation of community centers, upgradation of markets with LED lighting, and installation of modern street lighting. Significant focus is also placed on road and street infrastructure, public health, sanitation, and green initiatives .

The Chandigarh Municipal Corporation is planning to recarpet nearly 529 km of city roads in the new financial year starting April 1, at an estimated cost of over ₹87 crore. This initiative will cover sector roads, internal roads, and parking lots, and is being monitored by NITTTR for quality assurance

The Tribune Chowk flyover project in Chandigarh is finally moving forward, with construction expected to begin in April after a seven-year delay. The 1.6-km flyover aims to ease traffic congestion at a busy intersection. The project's cost has increased from ₹137 crore in 2019 to ₹200 crore due to procedural delays.
