The much-anticipated Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is expected to open in April 2026, significantly reducing travel time between the two cities from approximately five to six hours to around two to two-and-a-half hours. The expressway features a six-lane, access-controlled design and is built at an estimated cost of ₹11,800 to ₹12,000 crore.

Projects such as 'Capital Royal Casa', 'Mahalaxmi Lord Krishna Terraces', and 'Shivalik Exotica' are currently under construction, signifying ongoing investment in the city's housing sector.

UP is planning an industrial corridor along the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, aiming to boost industrial growth and create job opportunities across 26 districts. Land acquisition has begun to identify approximately 1,000 hectares for attracting investments. The corridor will benefit from easy access to expressways and highways, potentially attracting thousands of crores in investment.
