MCD is having board meeting on April 29 to discuss 65 proposals concerning civic amenities, infrastructure, and governance. Key agenda items include measures against illegal factories, regulation of pubs and hookah bars, and improving traffic management. Land proposals involve establishing a new fire station near Sahastradhara helipad and a power substation in Nakraunda.

NHAI is constructing a 12-kilometer, four-lane greenfield bypass connecting the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor. This project, with a cost of ₹716 crore, aims to enhance regional connectivity and reduce traffic congestion in Dehradun. The bypass is expected to be completed by April 2027 and will divert non-destined traffic away from the city's urban core.

The Uttarakhand Public Works Department (PWD) has unveiled a five-year master plan with an investment of ₹74,100 crore to upgrade road connectivity and infrastructure. The plan includes converting 5,735 km of unpaved roads to paved roads, upgrading 1,200 bridges, and repairing 91 dilapidated bridges.

The much-anticipated Delhi-Dehradun Expressway is expected to open in April 2026, significantly reducing travel time between the two cities from approximately five to six hours to around two to two-and-a-half hours. This development is poised to boost tourism, improve logistics, and foster regional economic growth. The expressway features a six-lane, access-controlled design and is built at an estimated cost of ₹11,800 to ₹12,000 crore.

Dehradun's real estate sector sees continued activity with new RERA approved, residential projects like 'Best Oriana', 'Capital Royal Casa' being listed. Projects such as 'Capital Royal Casa', 'Mahalaxmi Lord Krishna Terraces', and 'Shivalik Exotica' are currently under construction, signifying ongoing investment in the city's housing sector.

UP is planning an industrial corridor along the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, aiming to boost industrial growth and create job opportunities across 26 districts. Land acquisition has begun to identify approximately 1,000 hectares for attracting investments. The corridor will benefit from easy access to expressways and highways, potentially attracting thousands of crores in investment.
