The Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority (MDDA) has approved a ₹968 crore development plan for Dehradun, focusing on enhancing urban infrastructure, promoting green spaces, and regulating construction. The plan includes stricter building regulations to curb illegal construction and aims for balanced urban growth.

The 12-kilometer bypass project around Dehradun, a ₹716 crore initiative by the National Highways Authority of India, has reached 44% completion. This four-lane greenfield highway, connecting Jhajhra to the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor, is slated for completion by April 2027.

The Uttarakhand Public Works Department (PWD) has unveiled a five-year master plan with an investment of ₹74,100 crore to upgrade road connectivity and infrastructure. The plan includes converting 5,735 km of unpaved roads to paved roads, upgrading 1,200 bridges, and repairing 91 dilapidated bridges.

UP is planning an industrial corridor along the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, aiming to boost industrial growth and create job opportunities across 26 districts. Land acquisition has begun to identify approximately 1,000 hectares for attracting investments. The corridor will benefit from easy access to expressways and highways, potentially attracting thousands of crores in investment.
