Khemnichak, Patna

The underground section of Patna Metro's Blue Line (Corridor II) is progressing steadily and is on track for completion by the end of 2026. This 7.9 km stretch from Rajendra Nagar to Patna Junction will feature six underground stations. With four tunnel boring machines actively working, approximately 2 km of tunnelling remains. Once completed, this section will integrate with the elevated corridor.

Patna's District Magistrate has directed officials to expedite the implementation of over 30 state and central projects, including the Patna Metro and NHAI works. The focus is on resolving land acquisition issues and ensuring timely completion. The Patna Metro priority corridor, stretching from Pataliputra bus terminal to Malahi Pakri, is reporting steady progress.

Underground metro construction has commenced between Patna Junction and Rukunpura. Fencing work is underway on Bailey Road. The 6.49-km elevated section includes five stations and a depot at Baririya Chak. Each station will have two levels.Khemnichak station will be a major interchange between Corridor I and Corridor II. The total project cost is estimated at Rs 13,925 crore.
