The Union Government has approved the Jaipur Metro Rail Project Phase II, a 41 km corridor with an investment of Rs 130.38 billion. This project aims to provide seamless connectivity to key areas like Sitapura Industrial Area, Vishwakarma Industrial Area, and the Jaipur Airport, integrating with Phase I to create a unified metro network.

Rajasthan Metro Rail Corporation Limited has received bids from 13 infrastructure companies for the first civil construction package of Jaipur Metro Phase 2. The tender, valued at around Rs 1145 crores, includes the design and construction of an elevated viaduct with 10 elevated stations. Also , Tonk road Metro line corridor will begin soon connecting Airport and commercial zones on Tonk Road to City.

Jaipur Metro Line 2, a 23.5 km corridor from Ambabari to Sitapura Industrial Area, is slated for construction in mid-2025 with an investment of ₹12,000 crore. The project includes 15 elevated and 6 underground stations and aims to create a north-south metro spine for Jaipur, enhancing urban connectivity and reducing traffic congestion.
