Chandigarh's Leisure Valley in Sector 10, once envisioned as the 'Lungs of the City,' is suffering from neglect with broken tracks, waterlogging, and poor sanitation. A Rs 2.34-crore project has been approved for its comprehensive revamp, aiming to make it more disabled-friendly and visitor-friendly.

A portion of the dividing road between Sectors 33 and 45 in Chandigarh has caved in due to heavy rains, highlighting weaknesses in the city's civic infrastructure. GMADA has partially opened one carriageway of the 8.5-km alternate road to Chandigarh International Airport, originating in Phase XI. This development is anticipated to significantly decongest the existing Airport Road, reduce travel time, and improve connectivity between Mohali and the airport.
