The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) is preparing to release a draft Development Plan for 2041, a 20-year urban planning framework designed to guide the city's long-term growth. This plan will expand AUDA's jurisdiction and align with Ahmedabad's aspirations to host the 2036 Olympics.

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has presented its highest-ever draft budget of Rs 17,018 crore for the fiscal year 2026-27. The budget prioritizes infrastructure, and sports facilities, in preparation for the 2030 Commonwealth Games. Key allocations include Rs 1,000 crore for elevated corridors and Rs 8,247 crore for sustainable and climate-resilient projects.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Ahmedabad Dholera Expressway and various industrial development initiatives in Gujarat on March 31. The visit includes the inauguration of completed development projects worth ₹271.20 crore by the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) in Sanand, Ahmedabad district.

The Torrent Group plans to invest ₹750 crore in establishing a 500-bed multispecialty hospital in Ahmedabad. This significant investment is expected to enhance healthcare infrastructure in the city, providing advanced medical facilities and services to residents and improving overall public health outcomes.
