Prime residential prices in Delhi have seen a 6.9% increase, with $1 million (approximately ₹9.4 crore) now able to purchase 205 square meters of space. This reflects sustained price appreciation and strong demand in the city's luxury housing market. While the purchasing power has slightly declined year-on-year,

PWD will undertake a 55-kilometer elevated road project along the Mahatma Gandhi Ring Road, to be executed in six phases. The first phase will cover an 11.5-kilometer stretch between Kashmere Gate ISBT and Ashram or DND Flyway. Construction is expected to commence in approximately six months after the detailed project report is finalized.

The Delhi government is reviving a plan to make property registration a fully paperless and faceless experience. Citizens will be able to upload documents, pay stamp duties, and verify identities online, eliminating the need for physical visits to sub-registrar offices.

As part of the 2026-27 budget, the Delhi government has earmarked Rs 7,887 crore for the Urban Development and Housing Department. This allocation aims to support overall development, including infrastructure expansion and housing initiatives, potentially leading to improved urban amenities and housing availability in the city.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta presented the budget for FY 2026-27, allocating Rs 5,921 crore to the Public Works Department (PWD) for overall development, including seamless connectivity, climate-resilient corridors, and technically safe roads. The plan includes carpeting 750 kilometers of roads and improving drainage systems.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated two new Delhi Metro corridors and laid the foundation stone for three more under Phase V-A. These new lines, including the Majlis Park-Maujpur Babarpur (Pink Line) and Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park (Magenta Line), are expected to significantly improve connectivity within Delhi and to neighboring NCR cities like Noida, Faridabad, and Gurugram.

Delhi's Master Plan 2041 is expected to be approved soon, providing a policy framework for the city's land use, housing, and infrastructure development for the next two decades. The government has also highlighted significant development works in South Delhi, including metro expansion, elevated roads, and improved civic amenities, funded by approximately ₹40,000 crore.

The Delhi government has approved an ₹802.18 crore project to redevelop over 241 major roads across the city, aiming to make them pothole-free and durable using a 'wall-to-wall carpeting' model. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also launched multiple water and sewerage projects worth over ₹2,100 crore to improve water supply and sanitation infrastructure.
